novel update thinking of re-opening a myspace page

Tue Oct 13, 2009, 6:29 AM
So last night I finished what I hope is the FINAL outline of the fist book in the "Emma Docherty: Adventures in Daelin" story (currently now 6books, 4 "Emma" books and 2 side adventures featuring minor characters). While doing the outline I came up with ideas for a fourth volume featuring Emma (hence the 4 Emma's mentioned above). Initially I had planned on writing Emma off at the end of book 3 but then realized I couldn't quite do that, even in an outline form.

Tentatively the third book would take place with her in the mid 90s and around age 16 or 17. The fourth book will take place in current time of 2008 and she'd be almost thirty, making the series span a timeframe of almost twenty years. the character will be over the fucked up stuff that happens to her in the earlier books and moving on with her life. She has a fiance, is a shift manager at a restraunt owned by her best freind, lovin' life and suffering from horrifying nightmares.

I used to think I was beyond killing off my characters and feelin' bad about it, but I suppose i'm not. When i get there maybe I'll kill the fiance or have the restraunt blow up in a thermo-nuclear explosion, killing the entire town EXCEPT the four or five people who I've introduced to the audience. Turn the whole book into a parody of those disaster films where the disasters kill everyone BUT the leads (the Day After Tommorow is on TV, how Emmerich as a career sill is beyond me)

Also when I was working I began thinking about maybe re-opening my old myspace. As much as i'm into Facebook, I must admist that I miss the ability to change shit around in the myspace. Like I'd always have fun playing with the different fonts and the backgrounds and such. Basically, it fulfilled my secret dream of being a web designer without actually doing any of the work. But if i were to re-open it would it be really worth it?

so thoughts?
