That is a really weird color and shine effect. It's both dim and vibrant. High pitched and murky.

This is a very unique piece to my eye for those reasons.

Did you use a specific filter, or...?

if you call my windshield and the cameras natural devices mixed with timing of passing traffic while stopped at a redlight on a particularly sunny day is a filter...?

this is probably my favorite piece right now just simply for the reasoning of the lighting and I find it to be an attractive piece. i wish i could go back to that house and take some other shots of it but to be honest I don't even remember what town that was shot in.

yes it does. One fo my favorite shots, personally. I seriously wish there wasn't a freeway between me and it or else i'dve gone up closer.

but honetly its one of those 'in the moment' shots. if i wasn't at that angle, int hat lighting in that moment then it would have been crap.

Actually, I think the long-shot makes it look even more like a house from a horror movie, in the sense that it gives a sense of desertion.
